Optum Tech, a global leader in healthcare innovation, seeks a senior AI/ML engineer to design, develop and deploy scalable AI/ML models and automation solutions for real-world healthcare challenges. You will own end-to-end ML pipelines and collaborate across data science, engineering, product and business teams.

Qualifications

5+ years in software or AI engineering for AI/ML solutions.
3+ years building production-grade LLM apps and RAG pipelines.
5+ years of Python development for data-intensive apps.
3+ years with AWS AI and cloud-native services.
2+ years with vector databases and semantic search.
2+ years implementing MLOps and AI operationalization.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML models and automation solutions.
Build end-to-end ML pipelines: data ingestion, feature engineering, training and deployment.
Develop automation frameworks for model training, testing, validation, and monitoring (MLOps).
Collaborate with data science, engineering, product, and business teams to deliver AI-driven solutions.
Optimize model performance with continuous evaluation and retraining strategies.
Ensure governance and data integrity, scale, and compliance of AI models.
Integrate AI/ML solutions into production systems using CI/CD and cloud platforms.
Stay updated with emerging AI/ML technologies and best practices.
