Job summary

Innodata is seeking a Business Development Representative, Healthcare & Life Sciences, to expand our AI and data transformation portfolio in the U.S. You will identify, engage, and qualify new business opportunities across health systems, pharma, biotech, and digital health, and drive pilots to larger engagements.

The role is 70% outbound prospecting, account development, client-facing activity, and 30% account research and planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in business development, technology sales, healthcare technology, life sciences, AI, data services, or related field.
• Demonstrated success generating pipeline through targeted outbound prospecting.
• Consultative approach focusing on understanding customer problems.

Responsibilities

• Identify and source prospective customers across healthcare and life sciences (health systems, pharma, biotech, med tech, payers, digital health).
• Research target accounts to identify AI initiatives, priorities, funding, product launches and triggers.
• Engage decision makers across AI, data science, clinical operations, R&D, medical affairs, technology, product, and digital transformation.
• Develop targeted outbound campaigns via email, LinkedIn, events, conferences and other channels.
• Conduct discovery calls to understand requirements, timelines, challenges, and opportunities.
• Support transition of opportunities into pilots, PoCs and larger engagements.
• Coordinate meetings, follow-ups, presentations, demos, and technical discussions with Innodata experts.
• Connect capabilities to healthcare use cases like clinical AI assistants, medical imaging, regulatory workflows.
