Job summary

Clearbrook is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead the AI-first data strategy for a P&C insurance carrier. You will design AI-powered data products spanning underwriting, claims, risk management, and customer experience, collaborating with analysts, actuaries, and underwriters.

You will define data products across auto, home, agriculture, commercial, and specialty lines, driving governance and scalable solutions while mentoring peers in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of data engineering experience in insurance, preferably P&C.
• Solid understanding of P&C operations: actuarial science, claims, underwriting, and pricing.
• Experience implementing AI‑first strategies with modern data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of AI-powered data products for underwriting, claims, risk management, and customer experience in P&C.
• Define, develop, and register curated data products for auto, home, agriculture, commercial, and specialty lines.
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, actuaries, underwriters, claims specialists, and business leaders to deliver scalable data solutions.
• Establish best practices for data engineering in P&C, ensuring governance, privacy, and data quality.
• Mentor team members and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.
