Job summary

Clara is building the first AI-first medical practice, delivering actual patient care with clinicians and human oversight. This in-person role in San Francisco centers on owning patient app, clinician FHR, and the API stack, partnering with founders and CTO to shape architecture and product strategy.

You will ship features end-to-end, integrate AI with real workflows, and drive outcomes through data and clinician feedback. Relocation and visa support are offered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience with React + TypeScript in production with real users.
• Proficient in Python and Django backend development.
• Strong relational data modeling and SQL skills.
• Ability to own features end-to-end and explain past failures and fixes.
• Familiarity with AI-native workflows and production tools.

Responsibilities

• Ship features across patient app, staff EHR, and backend (React + TypeScript frontend; Django backend).
• Build AI-integrated surfaces (streaming chat, tool calls, clinician review flows).
• Design onboarding to drive early value and habitual use.
• Own mobile shell (Capacitor, iOS and Android) alongside web app.
• Instrument and analyze results to guide next iterations.
