Job summary

Pearson is seeking an experienced engineering leader to drive Data Foundations modernization, ensuring secure, observable, and scalable data delivery across legacy and new platforms.

You will manage cross-functional teams, define quality gates, and uphold release discipline while mentoring engineers in AI-fluent practices. This full-time role is based in Indiana and requires strong collaboration with Product, Security, and DevOps.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering delivery for data foundations and modernization.
• Ability to review technical decisions and engage AI-fluent engineering.
• Track record delivering model-backed capabilities with evaluation and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall engineering delivery for Data Foundations, including roadmap execution.
• Set data contracts, quality gates, lineage, observability, and access controls.
• Coordinate with Product, Security, DevOps, and partner teams to protect continuity.
• Maintain release gates and guardrails for AI-enabled features.
• Coach capability growth and run performance and development conversations.
• Balance legacy and target platform work while shipping continuously.
