Job summary

Pfizer is seeking a Senior Manager, AI Experience Designer to shape AI-powered experiences across its digital platforms. You will translate complex needs into strategy, prototypes, and production-ready designs with a focus on Agentic AI, conversational UX, and safety considerations.

The role demands collaboration with Product, Engineering, Data, and AI teams, hands-on prototyping with LLM APIs, and a track record of delivering scalable design patterns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of progressive UX design experience or advanced degree with relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of modern product development, front-end principles, APIs, and collaboration with Engineering.
• Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs or agent frameworks to prototype real agent behavior.
• Experience creating reusable interaction patterns or design frameworks across products and teams.
• Experience designing Conversational UX (chat/voice) including dialog flows and tone guidelines.
• Experience designing Agentic AI workflows with human-in-the-loop controls, transparency, and safe failure modes.
• Experience with AI design tools to enable rapid prototyping and iteration.
• An "AI-first" mindset and ability to challenge traditional design paradigms for accelerated delivery.
• Expertise in accessibility and WCAG 2.1 AA compliance across platforms.
• Proven ability to deliver complex projects under tight deadlines with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design of complex AI-enabled products and workflows from framing to implementation partnership.
• Design AI experiences across chat, voice, and multimodal interactions including state and fallbacks.
• Prototype realistic system behavior using LLMs and agent frameworks to test assumptions.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to shape scope and trade-offs.
• Deliver high-quality interaction, visual, and conversation design considering usability, trust, and accessibility.
• Turn ambiguous ideas into testable concepts and production-ready designs with rapid iterations.
