Job summary

EY is seeking a senior UX/AI interaction designer to shape how people collaborate with AI systems. You will own interaction architecture, work across product, engineering, AI, security, and research to translate user research into production-ready interfaces that are intuitive, trustworthy, and performant.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years of experience, a strong portfolio across interaction design and frontend engineering, and a proven ability to scale reusable components while addressing

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant and applicable experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
• A portfolio of shipped interaction design, design engineering, frontend engineering, or HCI work showing both thinking and implementation.
• Production proficiency in modern web or application technologies, delivering responsive, performant components.
• Experience designing for AI, search, recommendation, automation, or another adaptive system.
• Practical command of semantic UI, WCAG, WAI-ARIA, keyboard interaction, and assistive-technology testing.
• Experience extending reusable component libraries and supporting adoption across product teams.
• Travel and On-site requirements: This role requires up to 50% travel and flexibility to go into the office in a hybrid capacity.

Responsibilities

• Define experience principles, interaction architecture, and reusable patterns for AI-assisted and agentic products.
• Conduct workflow research and usability testing with diverse users, including people who use assistive technologies.
• Build high-fidelity prototypes and accessible production components for the product’s web, application, conversational, or multimodal surfaces.
• Translate user intent into interaction specifications for clarification, uncertainty, memory, personalization, permissions, and action boundaries.
• Make plans, progress, evidence, tool activity, costs, and outcomes legible without overwhelming users.
• Design controls for preview, approval, interruption, edit, undo, retry, escalation, and human takeover.
• Measure task completion, effort, correction burden, recovery, and trust calibration; partner with AI, platform, security, and evaluation specialists to improve the whole experience.
