Job summary

Xcel Energy seeks a student intern for a May 31, 2027 start, joining the Meta Architecture team to help shape architecture tools, processes, and AI-powered solutions across the enterprise. You will collaborate with IT/OT architects and business stakeholders in a mentorship‑driven, learning‑rich environment.

Typical duties include researching, designing, and implementing architecture solutions; contributing to AI/ML initiatives; and supporting architecture standards.

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing a degree in CS, MIS, or related field.
• Willing to work full-time during summer (up to 40 hrs/week) and part-time during the school year (up to 20 hrs/week).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IT/OT architects and stakeholders to design architecture solutions.
• Contribute to AI/ML initiatives and intelligent solutions.
• Participate in architecture and team meetings to share ideas.
• Conduct research, analysis, and solution evaluation for enterprise challenges.
• Support development of IT/OT architecture standards and best practices.
