Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a summer intern to support the Enterprise AI Enablement team in developing AI-powered solutions, automation, analytics, and solution delivery. You will gain exposure to enterprise AI technologies, Microsoft Copilot, and business process transformation.

Ideal candidates are pursuing CS/CE/SE or related degrees and can commit to full-time summer work or part-time during the academic year, with a hybrid in-person work arrangement in Colorado.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled student pursuing a degree in a relevant field.
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours/week) or part-time during the school year (up to 20 hours/week).
• Experience with Python, JavaScript, SQL or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with automation, APIs, or low-code platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and testing of AI-powered solutions and agents.
• Support automation and workflow improvement initiatives.
• Analyze data and identify opportunities for process optimization.
• Document solution requirements, designs, and user guidance.
• Participate in solution demonstrations and stakeholder meetings.
• Support maintenance and enhancement of AI tools and applications.
