Job summary

George Mason University is seeking a Program Manager, AI Engagement & Enablement in Fairfax, VA to lead the university's AI ambassador programs and engagement initiatives. You will recruit, onboard, train, supervise, and evaluate student ambassadors while coordinating with Microsoft representatives and campus stakeholders to promote AI literacy and responsible adoption.

You will oversee 2-3 staff, report to the Executive Director for IT Customer Experience, and focus on scalable programs,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field or combination of education and experience.
• Progressively responsible experience in program management, project management, training, student engagement, or higher education administration.
• Experience supervising student employees, ambassadors, interns, or volunteers.
• Experience coordinating programs or projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience planning events, outreach, or engagement initiatives.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft 365 applications, and digital productivity technologies.
• Knowledge of program management, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement practices.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages AI ambassador program as part of AI enablement strategy.
• Recruits, onboards, trains, supervises, mentors, and evaluates student ambassadors.
• Coordinates ambassador assignments, outreach events, workshops, and engagement activities.
• Facilitates meetings, training, and professional development for ambassadors.
• Serves as liaison between ambassadors, Microsoft representatives, stakeholders, partners and staff.
• Develops processes and resources to support ambassador effectiveness and sustainability.
• Tracks participation, engagement, and program metrics.
• Prepares reports and recommendations on AI enablement outcomes.
• Supervises and develops 2-3 AI program staff; sets goals and development plans.
• Allocates resources to support priorities and service demands.
