Job summary

Karsun Solutions, LLC is seeking a Lead Automation Test Engineer who will be hands-on, customer-facing, and drive AI-enabled QA initiatives. You will lead a team of senior automation engineers, establish reusable AI templates, and defend tool choices while delivering on customer commitments.

The role focuses on accelerating testing speed, quality, and coverage through AI tools, migrations to Playwright, and end-to-end testing leadership in a SAFe environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, engineering, information systems, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8–10 years in related roles including 5+ years hands-on automation experience.
• Proven ability to lead automation teams with on-time delivery and customer commitments.
• Hands-on experience with AI-enabled testing tools (e.g., Testim, mabl, Functionize, Applitools, Copilot, ChatGPT).
• Experience creating prompt libraries, AI usage standards, or repeatable AI-assisted workflows for testing teams.
• Experience evaluating AI/testing tools and advising adoption strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive a team of senior automation engineers, assigning and tracking tasks for timely delivery.
• Own delivery of customer commitments and communicate deviations proactively.
• Lead AI enablement for QA/testing by evaluating and implementing AI tools to boost productivity.
• Create reusable prompt templates and AI-assisted workflows for test generation and migration.
• Modernize Selenium suite by migrating to Playwright with AI-assisted tooling and reusable patterns.
• Provide hands-on automation leadership across functional, integration, API, regression, and E2E tests.
• Analyze regression suite; reduce flaky tests and long run times; minimize manual triage.
• Use AI to analyze requirements and identify automation gaps; guide team to close them.
• Explain and defend AI tool choices and migration strategies to customers.
• Produce prototypes and PoCs to demonstrate value; coach team on AI tools and standards.
• Collaborate in a SAFe Agile environment with stakeholders; document standards and guides.
