Job summary

Karsun Solutions, LLC is seeking a Lead Automation Test Engineer who will be hands-on, customer-facing, and drive AI-enabled testing initiatives across QA. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/engineering/IS or related field.
• 8–10 years of related experience including 5+ years in hands-on test automation.
• Demonstrated experience leading automation teams with on-time delivery.
• Hands-on experience with AI-enabled testing tools such as Testim, mabl, Functionize, Applitools, Copilot, ChatGPT.
• Experience creating prompt libraries, AI usage standards, or repeatable AI-assisted workflows for testing teams.
• Experience using AI tools for test generation, automation development, maintenance, analysis, and coverage.
• Experience evaluating emerging AI/testing tools and practical adoption strategies.
• Experience with Selenium WebDriver/Grid, Playwright, Cucumber/Gherkin, JUnit, TestNG.
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman and REST Assured.
• Strong programming in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
• Experience across manual, functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Ability to improve automation efficiency via framework design, parallel execution, and CI/CD integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive a team of senior automation engineers, assigning and tracking tasks to ensure timely delivery.
• Own delivery of customer commitments and communicate deviations proactively.
• Lead AI enablement for QA/testing by evaluating and implementing AI tools to improve productivity.
• Establish reusable prompt templates and AI-assisted workflows for test generation and migration.
• Modernize the Selenium automation suite and migrate to Playwright using AI-assisted tools.
• Provide hands-on automation leadership for various testing types.
• Analyze the regression suite to reduce flaky tests and long execution times.
• Use AI methods to analyze requirements and identify automation coverage gaps.
• Serve as a customer-facing technical lead to justify AI/tool decisions and migration strategy.
• Produce prototypes and working automation to demonstrate customer value.
• Coach QA engineers on AI tools, prompts, Playwright, and testing standards.
• Collaborate in SAFe Agile environments with stakeholders and teams.
• Create concise documentation on automation standards, AI usage, and tool evaluations.
