Job summary

Karsun Solutions seeks a Lead Automation Test Engineer in the United States to drive AI adoption in QA, modernize selenium to Playwright, and raise testing speed and quality. You will lead senior automation engineers, craft reusable AI prompts, and ensure on‑time delivery of customer commitments.

The role demands hands‑on automation leadership across functional, API, regression, and end‑to‑end testing, with strong customer‑facing capabilities and SAFe‑experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in software testing/automation with hands‑on experience.
• Experience leading automation teams and delivering on commitments.
• Hands‑on with AI-enabled testing tools such as Testim, mabl, Functionize, Applitools, Copilot, ChatGPT.
• Experience creating prompt libraries or AI‑assisted workflows for testing teams.
• Familiarity with Selenium WebDriver/Grid, Playwright, Cucumber/Gherkin, JUnit and TestNG.
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman and REST Assured.
• Strong programming skills in Java, JS/TS, or Python.
• Agile/Scrum with SAFe experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive a team of senior automation engineers to deliver high‑quality results on schedule.
• Own delivery of customer commitments and communicate deviations proactively.
• Lead AI enablement for QA/testing by evaluating, piloting, and implementing AI tools.
• Establish reusable AI prompts and workflows for test generation and migration to Playwright.
• Modernize Selenium automation and migrate to Playwright with AI‑assisted tooling and patterns.
• Provide hands‑on automation leadership across functional, integration, API, regression, and end‑to‑end testing.
• Coach engineers on AI tooling, Playwright, and testing practices.
• Collaborate in a SAFe Agile environment with stakeholders and DevOps.
