Blue Origin is seeking a Supply Chain Program Manager to translate program demand, design, and schedule into executable sourcing strategies that deliver material on time and on budget. The SCPM will embed with engineering and manufacturing teams, driving supplier readiness and PPAP, capability studies, and run-at-rate validation to meet high-rate production demands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years or Master's with 2+ years in manufacturing-related supply chain, engineering, or program mgmt.
• Experience with NPI or development programs from design to high-rate production.
• Experience with First Article Inspection and supplier capability studies.
• Understanding high-rate production: takt time, line balancing, capacity validation.
• Experience building sourcing strategies: competitive events, dual-sourcing, total cost analysis.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and ability to embed with engineering/manufacturing.
• Strong communication; distill complex issues into executive summaries.
• Analytical skills; experience with BOMs, MRP/ERP, cost modeling and metrics.
• Comfort with digital tools, supplier portals, EDI/TMS, data-driven decisions.
• Self-starter; define scalable processes; startup-like environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Build bid packages with technical requirements and commercial terms.
• Support competitive source selection events.
• Qualify and onboard new suppliers, including assessments and contract execution.
• Drive supplier readiness through PPAP, tooling acceptance, and run-at-rate validation.
• Validate supplier capacity from low-rate to high-rate production.
• Develop dual/tri-source strategies to mitigate risk and drive cost competition.
• Conduct make/buy/where trade studies with engineering and manufacturing.
• Negotiate contracts and LTAs/MSAs with indexed pricing and capacity commitments.
