Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Supply Chain Program Manager to orchestrate supplier strategy across engineering and manufacturing for high-rate production. You will lead bid packages, supplier qualification, and dual-sourcing while advancing AI-enabled procurement automation.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in manufacturing supply chains or a Master’s with 2+ years, strong analytics, and excellent cross-functional collaboration skills to drive cost and schedule alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years OR Master's degree with 2+ years of supply chain, engineering, or program management experience in manufacturing environments.
• Experience with NPI or development programs from design through high-rate production at scale.
• Experience with First Article Inspection, supplier capability studies, and production readiness validation including run-at-rate assessments.
• Understanding of takt time, line balancing, capacity validation, and supplier scalability from low-rate to high-rate.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and the ability to influence engineering and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing & Supplier Management: build comprehensive bid packages with technical requirements and terms.
• Support competitive source selection events and onboard new suppliers.
• Drive supplier readiness through PPAP, capability studies, and run-at-rate validation.
• Develop dual/tri-source strategies to mitigate risk and drive cost competition.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and LTAs with suppliers; manage indexed pricing and capacity commitments.
• Embed with technical programs and report status, risks, and mitigations to leadership.
• Leverage AI-driven procurement automation; supervise automated processes with human-in-the-loop approvals.
