Job summary

OfficeSpace Software Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant for a remote US role reporting to the Controller to own core accounting workflows and the month-end close. You will leverage AI and automation to streamline processes, strengthen controls, and support scalable growth in a SaaS environment.

You will blend strong accounting fundamentals with a builder’s mindset, expanding into multi-entity and advanced technical accounting as the company scales, while maintaining audit-ready records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and reconciliations.
• Experience with accounting systems and financial workflows; NetSuite and Ramp preferred.
• Practical AI fluency to accelerate research and improve workflows with human review.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting accuracy across AP, expenses, and procurement workflows with automation.
• Drive the month-end close with journal entries, accruals, and prepaids; leverage AI tools for accuracy.
• Manage bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations with automation.
• Improve procurement controls and maintain records and policy compliance.
• Support fixed assets, depreciation, and lease accounting schedules.
• Keep audit-readiness through documentation and schedules for audits and filings.
• Build smarter workflows by identifying repetitive tasks and testing AI solutions.
• Turn data into action by investigating anomalies and recommending improvements.
