Job summary

The Wrap is seeking a Staff Accountant in the United States to own key accounting processes, support monthly close, and drive scalable financial operations. You will work with cross-functional teams to turn operational activity into reliable reporting.

This role emphasizes independence, process improvement, and leveraging AI to enhance close workflows and accuracy as the company scales.

Qualifications

3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting and/or high-growth company experience is a plus.
Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and core accounting principles.
Experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial-statement support.
Working knowledge on building AI workflow agents is a plus.
Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills; experience with an ERP system such as NetSuite.

Responsibilities

Own commission and bonus accounting, including accruals and reconciliations.
Account for capitalized commissions with amortization and schedules.
Own cash, prepaids, fixed assets, and intercompany accounting as applicable.
Ensure transactions follow US GAAP and company policies.
Partner with AP, Payroll, FP&A, and operations to provide timely financial data.
Assist with audit, tax, and compliance requests with clear schedules and documentation.
Maintain organized accounting records, process docs, and internal control evidence.
Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements.
Leverage AI/automation to improve close workflows, reporting, and analysis.
Contribute to ad hoc reporting and special projects.
