Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Principal Solutions Engineer to partner with Solutions Engineers and field teams, driving adoption of what you build and turning field learnings into scalable assets for the COE.

You’ll prototype features with AI-assisted coding tools, engage strategic customers, and deepen your expertise in Tableau Cloud and Tableau Desktop to demonstrate value and win confidence from executives across a range of enterprise deployments.

Qualifications

Several years of hands-on solutions engineering, sales engineering, or technical pre-sales experience, ideally with analytics or data platforms.
Deep, current expertise in Tableau Cloud and Tableau Desktop.

Responsibilities

Partner with Solutions Engineers in the field to understand customer needs and drive adoption of built solutions.
Build working prototypes ahead of general availability using AI-assisted coding tools.
Engage directly with strategic and executive-level customers to validate prototypes.
Develop and maintain technical assets and demos (Tableau materials, architecture decks).
Experiment with new AI capabilities and share scalable ideas with the team.
Understand Salesforce and Tableau buyer nuances to tailor demos and assets.
Be a product SME on Tableau Cloud/Desktop to support field sales.
