Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Service Line Specialist for its Software Engineering Group (SEG) to drive AI-enabled sales, strategy, and client leadership. The role blends client responsibilities with business development and cross-sell opportunities across AI-infused services.

The position emphasizes building trusted advisor relationships, leading conversations on AI adoption, and expanding the account portfolio within a matrix organization. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in sales, delivery, managing or consulting with at least two years in a related AI context.
• Prior experience in pre-sales, technology/solution selling, and managing practice and clients is a must.
• Strong technical ability to translate business problems into AI-enabled solutions and engage customers with consultative selling and AI.
• Knowledge of industry trends and deep understanding of at least one hyperscaler (Anthropic, Google, AWS, Microsoft OpenAI) and related AI startups is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead conversations with clients on AI adoption for software engineering including development, maintenance, QA and PoC/MVP work with delivery teams.
• Own business development and create opportunities in software engineering, application development/support, cloud migration/adoption and QE&A with AI-native approaches.
• Develop long-term relationships with account/client organizations and drive revenue growth across portfolios.
• Collaborate in a matrix organization and contribute to roadmaps for offerings and partnerships.
• Travel for business purposes as needed.
