Job summary

PCMI Corp. is a fast-growing global SaaS company in extended warranty, F&I, and service contract administration. We seek a hands-on Software Engineering Manager to set technical direction, grow engineers, and align work with business needs while staying close to code.

You will guide project delivery, mentor engineers, and champion AI integration across the SDLC. You will oversee resources, risks, and process improvements, ensure quality and security, and collaborate with product management, QA,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years in leadership role.
• 7+ years of engineering experience.
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services experience.
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and live site operations.
• Proven experience with Azure cloud architecture (App Services, Service Bus, Azure SQL, and related services).
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (Azure DevOps, TeamCity, Octopus).
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects.
• Provide technical guidance and expertise to the development team.
• Championing AI Engineering by injecting AI across the SDLC.
• Improve system performance and reliability and conduct code reviews.
• Allocate resources to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Improve processes, tools, and methodologies for efficiency and quality.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and security protocols.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and customer requirements via testing and QA.
• Communicate with stakeholders on project status and requirements.
• Stay informed about new technologies and trends.
• Address conflicts constructively.
• Lead, mentor, and manage software developers.
• Foster collaboration across departments.
