Job summary

PCMI, LLC is seeking a hands-on Software Engineering Manager who can lead a technically strong team and set directions for AI-enabled software development. You will guide engineers, manage budgets, and ensure delivery aligned with business goals.

You will oversee timelines, provide technical leadership, and promote best practices while staying close to code. The role expects senior engineering leadership with a strong Azure/DevOps background in a global SaaS company.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
3+ years in leadership role.
7+ years of engineering experience.
8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services experience.
Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns across the SDLC, including coding standards, reviews, source control, build, testing, and live ops.
Proven experience with Azure cloud architecture (App Services, Service Bus, Azure SQL).
Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps (Azure DevOps, TeamCity, Octopus).
Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code).

Responsibilities

Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of software projects with timelines and budgets.
Provide technical guidance and ensure coding standards are followed.
Champion AI engineering across the SDLC to improve efficiency.
Improve system performance and reliability; conduct code reviews.
Allocate resources to ensure on-time delivery within budget.
Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Improve processes, tools, and methodologies for quality and scalability.
Ensure compliance with regulations and security protocols.
Communicate with stakeholders on status and expectations.
Stay informed about new technologies and trends.
Lead, mentor, and manage software developers.
Foster collaboration with product, QA, and operations teams.
Evaluate performance and drive professional development and hiring.
