Job summary

Cotiviti is seeking a Senior Director of Software Engineering for the Payment business. You will lead multiple cross-functional teams, deliver AI-enabled software, and align tech strategy with business goals in a remote, global environment.

You will drive architecture, governance, and engineering standards while managing budgets, timelines, and talent across distributed teams. Experience in healthcare or regulated industries is preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with hands-on delivery experience.
• 6+ years leading engineering teams as a people manager.
• Bachelor’s in CS or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Experience delivering enterprise software across distributed teams.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and global team management.
• Understanding of Lean, iterative, and flow-based delivery methods.
• Proven experience with automated testing, TDD, and CI/CD.
• Operational DevOps knowledge including reliability and monitoring.
• Ability to align technology with healthcare or regulated needs.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a multi-team engineering org with clear goals and metrics.
• Advance AI-enabled development with automation and guardrails.
• Align teams to enterprise architecture and engineering standards.
• Provide hands-on technical oversight for scalable, secure solutions.
