Job summary

Petual is seeking a Security Lead to build and own the security function for a SaaS platform. You will inherit an established baseline of infrastructure as code, cloud security practices, and an early compliance program, then set strategy to meet regulated requirements.

You will lead security strategy, partner with engineering on security across apps, cloud, and AI systems, and drive vulnerability management, incident response, and compliance growth as the company scales.

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineering; you write production code.
• Experience securing enterprise SaaS in fintech or regulated spaces.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code.
• Experience securing AI-powered products or agentic systems.

Responsibilities

• Own Petual’s security strategy, roadmap, architecture, and day-to-day security program.
• Partner with engineering on application, cloud, infrastructure, and AI-system security.
• Advance vulnerability management, incident response, access governance, and detection tooling.
• Lead security reviews with enterprise customers.
• Own and evolve our compliance program across frameworks.
