Job summary

This Challenger Core role requires 7+ years of full‑stack experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and hands-on AI product delivery. Expect up to 50% travel and a hybrid office setup across US locations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant and applicable experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
• End-to-end delivery: taking software from concept through launch, learning, and adoption.
• Technical breadth: full-stack capability across frontend, backend, API, data, and cloud tech.
• Applied AI experience: building products with LLMs, retrieval, tools, or similar patterns.
• Evaluation experience: automated testing and behavioral evaluation for probabilistic systems.
• Live-service ownership: telemetry, debugging, reliability, incident response, performance improvement.
• User-centered practice: working with users, designers, and product leaders to improve decisions.
• Engineering craft: clear specifications, maintainable code, thoughtful reviews, sound trade-offs.
• Travel up to 50% and hybrid office arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Start with the user and work with domain experts to identify where AI adds value.
• Test assumptions quickly via concise specs, prototypes, and small releases.
• Own complete product slices across experience, services, data, AI behavior, and integrations.
• Shape AI behavior with instructions, context, retrieval, and structured outputs.
• Build an evidence system with representative tasks and automated evaluations.
• Instrument user journeys to tie adoption to system behavior, latency, and cost.
• Engineer for responsible use with clear permissions, data handling, and safety checks.
• Own production quality: release incrementally, monitor live behavior, respond to incidents.
• Make practical trade-offs balancing experience, quality, speed, reliability, and cost.
• Share reusable patterns and assets with the platform while ensuring performance.
