Job summary

EY is seeking a senior engineer to turn emerging AI capabilities into durable, user-centric products. You’ll move from conversations with users to prototypes, secure services, and production-grade evaluations in a fast-paced Challenger program.

The role emphasizes ownership, testability, and responsible AI practices in a hybrid US-office setup. Ideal candidates bring 7+ years of full-stack, end-to-end delivery and hands-on AI product experience, with strong product judgment and collaboration

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in end-to-end product and AI-enabled software delivery.
• Strong full-stack capability across frontend, backend, API, data, and cloud tech.
• Hands-on experience building products with large language models, retrieval, tools, or similar AI patterns.
• Experience designing representative tests and evaluations for probabilistic systems.
• Telemetry, debugging, reliability, incident response, and performance improvement ownership.

Responsibilities

• Start with the user by engaging with users and domain experts to map real workflows and identify where AI adds value.
• Test assumptions quickly by turning hypotheses into concise specs, prototypes, and small releases.
• Own complete product slices spanning experience, services, data, AI behavior, and enterprise integrations.
• Shape AI behavior through design of instructions, context, retrieval, outputs, and tool use.
• Build the evidence system with representative tasks and automated evaluations to demonstrate usefulness, safety, and accessibility.
• Instrument user journeys to relate adoption to system behavior, latency, failures, and cost.
• Engineer for responsible use with clear permissions, secure data handling, and graceful degradation.
