Job summary

Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP is seeking an experienced Pricing Manager to lead the firm's pricing and matter budgeting function in Houston. You will partner with attorneys, Firm leadership, and Revenue teams to develop matter budgets, ensure client guideline compliance, and drive budgeting performance.

The role oversees daily pricing operations, mentors pricing analysts, and implements workflows and dashboards.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school.
Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction preferred but not required.
Five+ years in legal pricing, legal operations, finance, budgeting, or revenue management.
Experience leading projects, processes, or teams; familiarity with pricing and budgeting.
Experience with pricing analytics, client guidelines, and e-billing systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership, coaching, and development for Pricing Analysts.
Oversee workload distribution to ensure timely matter budgeting requests.
Establish performance goals and monitor results for the pricing team.
Serve as escalation point for complex pricing and client guideline issues.
Develop and improve workflows, procedures, and best practices.
Lead initiatives on operational excellence, scalability, and efficiency.
Partner with Innovation to implement AI/automation to improve budgeting accuracy and turnaround times.
