Job summary

Axinn seeks a Director of Pricing and Legal Project Management to lead pricing strategy, matter budgeting, and financial analytics. You will collaborate with clients, leadership, and practice groups to structure proposals and monitor profitability across portfolios.

The role requires 10+ years in pricing/matter management within a law firm or professional services, with AI/tech for LPM and strong SQL skills; hybrid work model with in-office requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting preferred; 10+ years pricing/matter management experience in law or professional services.
• Experience with time and billing software (e.g., Elite, Aderant) and ERP systems.
• Project management experience, including budgeting and scoping in a legal context; familiarity with LPM.
• Experience leveraging AI/technology for LPM, budgeting, and data analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to develop pricing/profitability analyses for clients and matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of creative pricing solutions, AFAs, and financial modeling for RFPs.
• Model matter profitability using BI platforms; identify levers for revenue growth.
• Coach partners on pricing options and discount strategies; assess financial impact.
• Set up budgets and timekeeper allocations; monitor profitability deviation.
• Conduct market benchmarking to keep billing rates and discount practices competitive.
• Design streamlined processes for pricing and budgeting; develop standardized templates.
• Manage and develop pricing/financial analysts and lead special projects.
