Job summary

LHH in Indianapolis is seeking a Sales Training Manager for a direct-hire role with a manufacturing client. You will lead and enhance a national sales training function, onboarding excellence, professional development, and continuous improvement initiatives while partnering with leaders across the organization to shape sales enablement through innovative learning strategies and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, Learning & Development, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of sales training, sales enablement, and/or learning & development experience.
• Experience developing and managing sales training programs and curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Lead sales onboarding and professional development programs across multiple employee groups.
• Design, document, and continuously improve end‑to‑end sales processes.
• Manage and develop a team of trainers.
• Facilitate instructor‑led classroom training programs.
• Deliver virtual onboarding and ongoing development sessions.
• Evaluate trainee submissions and provide coaching feedback.
• Conduct field observations and ride‑alongs with sales employees.
• Identify training gaps and implement targeted development solutions.
• Develop and maintain training curriculum and learning materials.
• Support training initiatives related to new product introductions.
• Track and measure training effectiveness and participant progress.
• Manage departmental budgets, forecasting, and spending activities.
• Leverage technology and AI tools to enhance training effectiveness.
• Coordinate training logistics, scheduling, and program execution.
• Travel nationally to support field development initiatives.
