Job summary

NeoGenomics Laboratories in Ramsey, NJ, is seeking a Senior Manager, Laboratory Software Engineering to lead the development and delivery of the Lab IT platforms. You will drive technical leadership across the full SDLC, ensuring secure, scalable solutions supporting clinical operations.

The role requires 8+ years in IT with 4+ years in leadership, LIMS experience, and strong Java/Python expertise, plus cloud familiarity (AWS/Azure).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related fields, or equivalent work experience
• 8+ years of information technology experience, including 4+ years in a leadership role; LIMS experience required
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Strong backend systems expertise, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture
• Java (Spring, Spring Boot) and Python (Flask, Django, FastAPI) frameworks
• Databases (SQL/NoSQL) such as PostgreSQL and MySQL
• Experience with AI-assisted coding platforms and design in regulated environments
• Experience leading software implementations in scientific/healthcare environments
• Proven coaching and team development能力
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of developers and engineers responsible for the design, development, delivery, and support of Laboratory IT platforms
• Manage onshore and offshore teams, balancing priorities
• Drive technical excellence including code optimization and process improvements
• Coach, hire, and develop development teams to high performance
• Own delivery outcomes and manage schedules and risks
• Ensure velocity, quality, security, and reliability of solutions
• Lead incident management, root-cause analysis, and prevention
• Partner with IT Ops and vendors to ensure quality and standards
• Foster AI-assisted development and testing adoption
