Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist to join the Content Development team to craft and review K-12 assessments for state and district clients across the United States. You will work as both a content and assessment expert, collaborating with educators, committees, and partners to deliver standards-based assessments accessible to all students.

Responsibilities include item development, AI-assisted content creation, and collaboration across teams to ensure quality.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in education or related field or equivalent experience.
5+ years of elementary or secondary teaching in content area preferred.
Professional knowledge of content area and educational trends required.
Experience with AI-supported content development or strong potential to leverage AI.
Experience or familiarity with prompting, refining, and evaluating AI-generated content.

Responsibilities

Develop and review content-specific test items including MCQs, TE, EBs, and simulations for large-scale assessments.
Assist in developing item specifications, test blueprints, and other documents.
Leverage AI-powered tools to support content development and assess accessibility standards.
Collaborate to integrate AI assets into assessment workflows and provide feedback.
Select, train, and manage item writers and educators based on standards and cognitive complexity.
Support customer meetings with content assessment expertise and planning.
