Job summary

Leidos, a Fortune 500 federal contractor, offers a Finance and Business Operations internship where students apply AI/automation tools to analyze financial trends and present insights to leadership. Interns will assist in Program Financial Control or FP&A, with exposure to AI solutions and corporate functions.

Participants gain hands-on training, team mentorship, and opportunities to present final projects to executives, while networking through Lunch & Learn sessions and panel discussions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Information Technology, or related field with coursework or projects in finance.
• Experience or coursework applying AI/automation tools to business problems (AI-assisted models, RPA, Power BI AI features).
• Ability to translate data findings into actionable business recommendations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power BI).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Leverage AI/ML, RPA, and generative AI to analyze financial trends and business data.
• Translate data findings into strategic, data-driven recommendations.
• Develop and implement AI methods into operable business solutions.
• Prepare and present financial analyses to leadership using Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
