Job summary

Box in Redwood City, CA is seeking an Enterprise Solutions Engineer for Higher Education to partner with sales and customers to design and demonstrate strategic solutions. You will own the technical win, articulate the value of Box AI, and drive cross-functional deployments across Box products.

This hybrid role requires 4-year degree and 5+ years in SaaS/enterprise software, with travel up to 50% to engage major university accounts.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 5+ years of pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting experience within SaaS, enterprise software, AI, or cloud platforms.
• Experience with Higher Education customers strongly preferred.
• AI-curious and technically fluent — able to discuss LLMs, embeddings, automation, and context and prompt engineering concepts with both technical and business audiences.

Responsibilities

• Research, explore and identify customer business problems; think like a builder and iterate to make every customer experience exceptional.
• Own the technical win in your account and drive the technical deal forward.
• Understand product integrations and MCP servers.
• Lead demos articulating the value of Box and the full suite of solutions (BoxAI, Box Web, Mobile, Shield, Relay, Sign, Governance, Canvas, Platform, and more).
• Act as the technical quarterback, coordinating the extended team from a solution standpoint.
• Demonstrate strong business acumen and communicate the value of Box to customers.
• Support field marketing events as a Box SME and presenter.
• Travel up to 50% to engage with customers in the territory.
