Job summary

Ironclad is seeking a Demo Engineer to own The Forge — Ironclad's internal demo-engineering platform — and ship it end‑to‑end, from design to production.

In this hands‑on role, you will build scalable web surfaces, integrate AI‑powered tooling, and partner with Product and Engineering to align demo assets with GTM needs, while supporting Solution Engineers and Enterprise Architects in creating compelling demos.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years building and shipping scalable web applications; direct experience running or owning an internal tool or product end‑to‑end is strongly preferred.
• Strong full‑stack development skills, especially JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js, plus modern frontend framework experience (React preferred).
• Hands‑on experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS/Azure) and operating services you build.
• Experience working with APIs and integration technologies (REST, JSON/HTTP, webhooks).
• Experience designing async/job‑based workflows with recoverability, auditability, and least‑privilege access.
• Familiarity with authentication and access control (SSO via Okta/Google, IAP, RBAC).
• Experience building with or integrating gen‑AI / LLM APIs into applications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary developer for The Forge, designing, building, deploying, and operating it as a production‑grade internal product.
• Build and maintain the platform's core surfaces: Armory hub, Environment Builder, flag reference, and guides/scripts.
• Develop backend services and asynchronous build jobs that orchestrate environment creation via Ironclad's APIs.
• Productize AI demo builders into reusable tooling behind a clean interface for non‑technical users.
• Own day‑to‑day operations: deployments, monitoring, logging, and first‑line platform support.
• Design and build industry‑specific demo environments, assets, and scripts for the field.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to align roadmaps with demo assets and The Forge.
• Provide technical support to Solution Engineers and Enterprise Architects.
• Recommend engineering best practices and scale the platform with new tools.
