Job summary

Expedia Group seeks an analyst to monitor global crises and assess traveler impact across our brands. You will work in a 24/7 operations setting with data-heavy responsibilities, building trackers and dashboards, and supporting AI-assisted incident response.

You will collaborate with Trust and Safety, Legal, Government Affairs, Customer Operations, and Communications to ensure timely, accurate escalation and remediation actions. A Bachelor’s in a related field is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in operational meteorology, geopolitical risk, security operations, emergency management, or crisis response.
• Ability to communicate complex situations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in a 24/7 operations environment with multiple priorities.
• Strong data skills: SQL, dashboards in Excel/Sheets, translating metrics into recommendations.
• Active use of AI tools in professional settings to improve speed and accuracy.
• Proficiency with Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, Confluence, and Jira or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies, Geography, Emergency Management, or closely related field. Equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Monitor global threat intelligence feeds and data to identify emerging crisis events in real time.
• Assess severity, scope, and traveler impact of events such as natural disasters, geopolitical crises, and disruptions.
• Produce concise internal intelligence summaries for leadership and cross-functional partners.
• Support crisis response actions, including traveler communications and policy updates.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align on response posture and thresholds.
• Develop and deploy proactive traveler messaging and governance for escalation decisions.
• Maintain crisis logs, trackers, and knowledge bases for institutional memory.
