Job summary

Expedia Group seeks an analytical crisis operations professional to monitor threat intelligence, assess impacts on travelers, and coordinate cross-functional response actions. You will build real-time exposure trackers, run post-event analyses, and support AI-assisted workflows to accelerate incident communication.

The role demands 3–5 years of crisis operations experience, strong data skills, and the ability to communicate clearly under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in operational meteorology, geopolitical risk analysis, security operations, emergency management or crisis response.
• Strong ability to translate raw data into clear escalation inputs and decisions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor global threat intelligence feeds and open sources to identify crisis events in real time.
• Assess severity, scope, and traveler impact of events across natural and man-made crises.
• Maintain situational awareness across concurrent events and produce internal leadership summaries.
• Execute crisis response actions within SLAs, including traveler communications and policy updates.
• Coordinate cross-functional war rooms and governance frameworks for notifications and thresholds.
• Develop crisis operation metrics narratives and post-event reviews.
• Query booking/operational data to quantify affected travelers and exposures using SQL.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies, Geography, Emergency Management, or a closely related field
