Job summary

Sonar is hiring a Corporate Accounting Manager to design processes, strengthen controls, and implement AI tooling for scalable financial operations as the company grows. The role partners cross-functionally to ensure accuracy across multi-entity operations.

The ideal candidate will lead day-to-day accounting, drive automation, and support audits while advancing the finance organization beyond traditional close and reporting.

Qualifications

• AI experience designing, building, and deploying AI agents.
• 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in software.
• GAAP, internal controls, and audit readiness; proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to work on-site, collaborate across teams, communicate clearly, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules across core balance sheet and P&L accounts.
• Lead process improvement and transformation initiatives that strengthen reporting quality, efficiency, scalability, and controls
• Identify and implement opportunities to use automation, technology, and AI-enabled solutions within management reporting processes
• Mentor and develop accounting team members and serve as a trusted resource across the broader finance organization.
• Assist with ongoing audits and liaise with external auditors.
