Job summary

Sonos in Boston is seeking an Accounting Solutions Engineer to join the Corporate Accounting team. The role blends solid corporate accounting expertise—consolidations, technical accounting, and external reporting—with hands-on AI, automation, and scalable process design to modernize workflows toward self-service processes.

You’ll build AI-enabled solutions and ensure SOX controls while driving efficiency in close and reporting.

Qualifications

6–8 years of progressive accounting experience (public and corporate).
Strong US GAAP knowledge including ASC 842, ASC 350-40, consolidations.
Hands-on experience with AI tools, scripting languages, and BI/automation platforms.
Ability to translate technical accounting requirements into process, data, and system design.
SOX-compliant controls and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Design and implement AI-assisted and automated workflows across close, consolidations, and reporting.
Identify manual tasks and redesign them using AI tools, scripting, and integrations.
Build scalable workpapers, dashboards, and validation checks to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Partner with Finance Systems, Data, and IT to ensure automation is reliable and auditable.
Oversee policy on reconciliations and journal entries, with automated sign-off where appropriate.
