Job summary

Sonos in Boston is seeking an Accounting Solutions Engineer for the Corporate Accounting team. The role blends solid GAAP accounting, consolidations, and external reporting with hands-on AI, automation, and scalable process design.

You will design and implement AI-assisted workflows, automate reconciliations, and partner with Finance Systems, Data, IT, FP&A, and external auditors while maintaining controls and SOX compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA certification is preferred
• 6–8 years of progressive accounting experience in public and corporate settings

Responsibilities

• Design AI-assisted and automated workflows across consolidations, close, and reconciliation review processes.
• Identify manual or repetitive accounting tasks and redesign them using AI tools, scripting, and system integrations.
• Build scalable workpapers, dashboards, and validation checks to improve efficiency and review quality.
• Partner with Finance Systems, Data, and IT to ensure automated solutions are reliable, auditable, and SOX‑compliant.
• Evaluate emerging AI tools and recommend practical applications for Corporate Accounting.
• Ensure AI outputs are validated with professional judgment and technical accounting knowledge.
