Job summary

Sonos LLC is seeking an Accounting Solutions Engineer to join the Corporate Accounting team in a hybrid Boston-based role. The position blends deep technical accounting with hands-on AI, automation, and workflow design to modernize close and reporting processes.

You will own complex technical accounting areas (ASC 842, ASC 350-40, ASC 718) and build scalable, auditable automation solutions while coordinating with FP&A, Tax, and IT. Strong scripting, AI tools, and ERP experience are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required; CPA preferred.
6–8 years of progressive accounting experience in corporate or public accounting.
Strong US GAAP knowledge including ASC 842, ASC 350-40, consolidations, intercompany structures.
Hands-on experience with AI tools, scripting (Google Apps Script, Python, VBA) and BI/automation platforms.
Ability to translate technical accounting requirements into process, data, and system design.

Responsibilities

Design and implement AI-assisted automated workflows across consolidations, close, and reconciliation review processes.
Identify manual accounting tasks and redesign them using AI, scripting, and integrations.
Build scalable workpapers, dashboards, exception reporting, and validation checks for efficiency and accuracy.
Partner with Finance Systems, Data, and IT to ensure reliability, auditability, and SOX-compliance.
Own complex technical accounting areas and support consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and foreign exchange aspects.
