Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Principal Architect to lead the design and evolution of cloud-based eCommerce payment platforms within the Commercial & Investment Bank Payments Technology group.

You will partner with business and technology leaders to shape digital transformation of merchant acquiring, online checkout, gateway architecture, partner integrations, and developer APIs. You will drive multi-year roadmaps, establish AI-enabled patterns, oversee governance, and present strategies to

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on architecture concepts.
• 10+ years applied experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability in eCommerce or merchant acquiring payment environments.

Responsibilities

• Advise stakeholders on design approaches and target state architecture for global eCommerce payment platforms.
• Develop multi-year roadmaps for eCommerce payments, including checkout optimization and gateway modernization.
• Apply enterprise AI capabilities to accelerate architecture analysis with human-in-the-loop validation.
• Define strategy and roadmaps for eCommerce product go-to-market.
• Establish AI-enabled, reusable engineering patterns across the SDLC.
• Participate in architecture governance and provide feedback.
• Lead vendor evaluation sessions for architecture designs.
• Identify modernization opportunities to improve stability.
• Present architecture strategies to senior leaders.
