Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Principal Architect to drive cloud-based ecommerce payment technologies across global platforms. You will partner with business and technology leaders to shape digital transformations in merchant acquiring, online checkout experiences, and developer APIs.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on architecture concepts.
• 10+ years applied experience in system design, development, testing and operations within ecommerce/payments.
• Deep knowledge of ecommerce payment flows including online checkout, gateway architecture, tokenization and fraud prevention.
• Strong experience with RESTful and event-driven APIs in ecommerce payment platforms.
• Identity and access management with secure partner integration via APIs.
• Experience leading a product as an owner/manager and delivering architectural roadmaps.
• Broad knowledge of cloud, AI/ML and mobile within a payments context.

Responsibilities

• Advise stakeholders on design approaches, technology selection and target state architecture for global ecommerce platforms.
• Develop multi-year roadmaps aligned with ecommerce strategy including checkout optimization and gateway modernization.
• Apply enterprise AI capabilities to accelerate architecture analysis with human-in-the-loop validation.
• Define strategy and roadmaps for go-to-market, translating merchant requirements into scalable cloud-native decisions.
• Lead architecture governance, evaluate recommendations and provide feedback to accelerate time to market.
• Identify modernization opportunities and automate remediation to improve platform stability.
• Present architecture strategies and roadmaps to senior leaders and executives.
