Job summary

McDermott Will & Schulte is seeking a Business Analyst to support legal teams and business operations by gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements for tools and processes. You will design integration with downstream systems and leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate documentation and analysis.

The role requires at least five years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least five years of related work experience.
• Experience with AI-assisted prototyping and diagramming tools (Claude, Claude Design, Claude Cowork; wireframing tools a plus).
• Experience with AI-assisted productivity tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) and ability to validate AI output.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation skills.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology; experience managing requirements, backlogs, and sprint deliverables.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; ability to learn quickly; flexible work hours; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Gather, document, and prioritize business stakeholder requirements in various formats.
• Collaborate with IT SMEs to assess alternatives and generate project estimates.
• Measure usability and effectiveness of solutions using data and stakeholder feedback.
• Facilitate and manage business requests and set expectations.
• Assist stakeholders with communication, training, or change management.
• Analyze project progress and report outcomes to management.
• Use AI tools to draft requirements documentation and user stories; validate outputs for accuracy.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI-powered tools to improve processes in partnership with AI Products.
• Research business and technical requirements using AI platforms and prototype solutions for review.
• Present findings and prototypes clearly to attorneys and business stakeholders.
