Job summary

Artera is hiring an AI Builder in Santa Barbara, CA to deliver AI-native patient experiences across scheduling, referrals, and billing. You will own initiatives from customer discovery through production, building solutions for named provider customers with a focus on impact and reliability.

You will collaborate with a customer-facing squad, translate client needs into technical decisions, and mentor newer teammates while advancing product capabilities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1 - 3 years of professional software engineering, data science, ML, product management, or technical project management experience.
• Demonstrated AI-native fluency with measurable leverage — ability to produce output on par with multiple traditional engineers using AI-native tools in the terminal.
• Track record of shipping end-to-end production solutions that are reliable.
• Ability to work directly with customers — onboarding them, owning the relationship, and translating conversations into decisions.
• Curiosity of a product manager and discipline of a project manager: asks why before how; scopes and sequences work.
• Written and verbal communication sufficient to present complex concepts to teams and customers.
• Demonstrated ability to teach and support less senior teammates.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery and realized outcomes for named customers.
• Identify customer pain and create a roadmap for solving their problems.
• Align stakeholders, connect data pipelines, and manage onboarding onto our solutions.
• Build novel solutions for named customers and translate operational needs into technical solutions.
• Monitor and improve reliability of what you ship and participate in on-call when applicable.
• Work across AI-native tools with a broad scope of responsibility beyond a typical technologist.
• Develop subject-matter expertise in customer segments and integration surfaces.
• Mentor and onboard newer builders and raise the bar on agentic techniques.
• Contribute to squad-level prioritization and planning with leadership.
