Job summary

Xcel Energy Inc is seeking an internship in Denver within the PSCo Regulatory team to develop AI and automation tools for internal processes and external filings. You will build AI agents, review documents, and refine automation across projects with a focus on practical impact.

The role supports a May 31, 2027 start and offers a hybrid work arrangement with in-person commuting to the designated Denver location, and an opportunity to extend based on performance.

Qualifications

Current student, Junior or higher (as of Fall 2027)
Enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Data science, information systems, project management
Able to work full‑time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)/ part‑time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) and commuting to the designated work location in‑person, per our hybrid work policy.

Responsibilities

Develop AI agents to automate administrative tasks
Develop AI agents or system automation to track and update internal systems
Develop AI agents to review, polish, and improve written documents and presentations
Update and refine existing agents to improve functionality
