Job summary

Salesforce seeks a Lead Software Engineer for Enterprise Agents to architect and deliver production-grade Agent systems at scale. The role requires hands-on leadership across full stack, strong CS fundamentals, and deep experience with Agent orchestration and AI integrations.

You will drive GA readiness, review designs, mentor peers, and collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to ship end-to-end features. In-person collaboration is expected as part of enterprise-scale delivery.

Qualifications

8+ years of professional software development experience, including production experience architecting and shipping Agent-based systems.
Strong CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, API/service design.
Proficiency in at least one OOP language (Java, JavaScript, C++, C#, Ruby, Python).
Experience with databases, REST/GraphQL, scalable backend security and reliability.

Responsibilities

Architect, design, implement, test, and deliver production-grade software systems for Agent capabilities at scale.
Write high-quality, maintainable code across services, APIs, and data layers.
Design orchestration patterns for Agent integrations into workflows.
Build and maintain the shared system context and guardrails for Agent behavior in production.
Lead GA readiness: define criteria, close gaps, de-risk timelines.
Debug and resolve issues across stack from infra to app logic.
Review code for security, reliability, and performance; participate in on-call rotation.
Mentor engineers on software practices and Agent architecture patterns.
Present designs to stakeholders and collaborate with product/design teams.
