Job summary

Observe.AI in Toronto is seeking an AI Agent Experience Designer to craft human–AI collaboration patterns and optimize end-to-end agent experiences across Voice & Chat AI interactions. You will own the entire design lifecycle—from requirements to blueprinting conversations, usability guardrails, and post-launch performance aligning with business outcomes.

This role sits at the intersection of design, product, and AI engineering.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience designing conversational systems (IVRs, chatbots, assistants) or human-AI interaction frameworks.
• Conversational AI expertise: design natural, usable dialogue across industries.
• HCI grounding with ability to craft seamless human-AI workflows.
• Strong communication and workshop facilitation, able to align diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and discovery to identify high-impact automation opportunities.
• Map conversational journeys reflecting customer expectations and real-world use cases.
• Design usability-driven blueprints with error-handling and escalation paths.
• Collaborate with AI engineers, engagement managers, and product teams.
• Monitor performance post-launch and drive continuous improvements.
• Document reusable design frameworks for accounts and teams.
