Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a seasoned leader to head our application engineering team for semi-custom AHUs. You will recruit, coach, and develop engineers, drive performance reviews, and set Individual Development Plans to build technical strength across the team.

You will balance customer requirements with cost, product capability, and timelines while supporting revenue growth through standout quotation support and technical authority on complex projects.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering (ABET accredited) or related science.
• Minimum 5–10 years in design, sales, or applications of Air Handling Units.
• Experience leading application engineers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of application engineers.
• Recruit, coach, mentor and develop engineers.
• Drive quote turnaround time improvements and quotation excellence.
• Support revenue growth and provide technical leadership for complex semi-custom AHU applications.
• Collaborate with sales and product teams to translate customer requirements into viable solutions.
• Establish guidelines, design standards, and best practices.
