Job summary

AgState is seeking a Sales Agronomist in Holstein, IA to drive growth by delivering expert agronomic service and solutions to our farming customers. You will build strong customer relationships, assess field data, and recommend products and practices that enhance yield and profitability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years related experience.
• Bachelor's degree is a plus but not required.
• Must have a valid IA driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an advisor to product management for introducing new products/services to growers.
• Perform sales calls on current and prospective customers.
• Consult with growers on product quality/standards and applications needed.
• Demonstrate sound agronomic skills.
• Interpret soil tests and nutrient maps.
• Build fertility recommendations based on data.
• Conduct weed, insect, and plant disease identification.
• Build pesticide recommendations based on growth stage and pest pressure.
• Know seed genetics and suitable hybrids.
• Develop action plans to grow targeted customers' business.
• Present products, services, and added value to customers.
