Job summary

NEW Cooperative in Iowa seeks an experienced Agronomy Sales & Customer Service professional to build strong relationships with agronomy customers and provide seed, crop protection, and crop nutrition solutions that meet their operations.

You will deliver unmatched customer service before, during, and after the sale, work toward sales goals, and collaborate with location managers and the agronomy team to support soil map recommendations, yield mapping, and NRCS plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an associate’s degree or equivalent experience in agronomy.
• Strong negotiation skills required; must possess or develop sales skills.
• Certified Crop Advisor certification preferred.
• Must be licensed and insurable to drive; CDL Class A with tanker and HazMat endorsement required.
• Commercial pesticide handler’s license required.
• Interpersonal communication skills for interacting with diverse personalities.
• Understand seasonality of farm supply business and in-season commitments.
• Proficiency with common computer programs and processes.

Responsibilities

• Present agronomy services and products tailored to customer needs with unbiased recommendations.
• Provide unmatched customer service before, during and after the sale.
• Identify potential customers and build relationships with prospects.
• Achieve personal, regional, and company sales goals; report as needed.
• Assist in creation of soil map recommendations, yield mapping, and NRCS nutrient plans.
• Support loading and delivery of agronomy orders.
• Communicate customer needs to location managers and operations teams.
• Promote company culture and maintain professional networks.
