Job summary

R.D. Offutt Farms and Syngenta invite students in approved agriculture programs to an agronomy internship. You will learn through hands-on projects, crop development work, scouting for insects/weeds, soil sampling, and an individual agronomy project completed before the internship ends.

Work alongside industry experts from R.D. Offutt Farms, Syngenta and university faculty, with opportunities to present findings to leadership and receive training through Syngenta.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an approved agriculture program.
• Maintain acceptable GPA and attendance while in the program.
• Provide transcripts to management after each term.

Responsibilities

• Assist with crop development, insect, weed and disease scouting, soil sampling, petiole sampling, and complete an agronomy project during the internship.
• Gain on-the-job experience from industry experts at R.D. Offutt Farms and Syngenta.
• Present project findings to leadership (15-minute presentation and Q&A).
• Receive presentation training through Syngenta.
• Identify and communicate solutions in area of responsibility.
